Was bewegt Krankenhäuser trotz Aufwand und Kosten sich zertifizieren zu lassen?
Welchen Mehrwert gibt es für die Krankenhäuser durch Zertifizierungsprozesse? In
einer Online-Umfrage wurden Qualitätsbeauftragte aus 188 Krankenhäusern gebeten,
ihre Einschätzung zur Qualität und der Bedeutung von externen
Zertifizierungsprozessen im Krankenhaus zu geben. Die Resultate zeigen, dass die
Bereitschaft, QM-Systeme oder eine spezialisierte Arbeit in Versorgungszentren
zertifizieren zu lassen, bei den Krankenhäusern hoch ist, obwohl die wachsende
Zahl von Zertifizierungsangeboten und Qualitätslabels bei Patient*innen
möglicherweise zu Unsicherheit und Verwirrung führt, zumal die Bedeutung der
Zertifikate häufig nicht klar ist, und die normativen Regelwerke und
Kriterienkataloge oft nicht zugänglich sind.
Abstract
What motivates hospitals to become certified despite the effort and costs
involved? What added value is there for hospitals through certification
processes? In an online survey, the responsible quality officers from 188 German
acute hospitals were asked to give their assessment of the quality and
importance of external certification processes in hospitals. The results show,
that the willingness to have QM systems or specialised work in care centres
certified is high among hospitals, although the growing number of certification
offers and quality labels may lead to uncertainty and confusion among patients,
especially since the meaning of the certificates is often not clear and the
normative sets of rules and criteria catalogues are often not accessible.
